The Band

The Band

Jim Wilson has played in folk, country and country/rock bands for over 40 years. He played with Mark Parker and Jo Ann Park, a trio based in Lubbock, Texas in the early seventies. He has played in the Tucson scene since the mid-seventies in the Catfish Willie Band and the Organ Donors. The Organ Donors produced two tapes and a CD of original material.
Richard Tompkins played with the West River Band, General Delivery, and several other excellent Tucson roadhouse bands since the 80's. General Delivery included Shep Cooke and Richard Gomez. That speaks for it's own self (in the words of Kinky Friedman). Richard wrote and produced all songs on a CD named Homework. We will provide songs here and on CD Baby in the future. He also writes movie soundtracks and songs for other bands. He plays lead and rhythm guitars, steel guitar, bass and probably 3 or 4 more instruments we haven't heard yet.
Bo Bowman played with Tucson rock and roll bands, The Backstreet Boogie Band and The Zonies before joining the Donors. He learned to play guitar and dobro from his family while living in Oklahoma. Listen to his lead on Zapata.
Jeremiah Teague - Harmonica player by night. He played with the Last Chance Dance Band with Vince Martinez in Lubbock, a kick-ass country band. He joined Jim in the early 80's in the Catfish Willie Band. He writes the fifteen minute jam songs about Zapata, Sonora, and Travelers. He'd rather hear Norton Buffalo play with Ramblin Jack than some guy rip off 40 notes a second.
